Woke up today with a bloody nose.
I don't usually get bloody noses.
Anyway, so, first post of the new year. First post from school. First post in a long time, etc. I've been learning a lot about aliens recently. My mind has been concentrated on extraterrestrial intelligence and the Drake equation. How foolish of us.
In fact, I may have never gotten a bloody nose before today.
I've been trying to find some time to read some novels lately. I got about 7 or 8 free books from my parents' friend in New York who owns a bookstore. Kurt Vonnegut, Jack Kerouac, Nelson Algren...some really good stuff, but I can never find the time. But that's really probably just what I tell myself. I really probably have a lot of time on my hands. Maybe I just don't use it efficiently.
Actually, I'm pretty sure I got at least one or two before.
I think it's the political season. I think I need to go get some tea. It's the only healthy thing I can do for myself anymore.

I agree with that whole telling yourself that you're busy. It's so easy for that to happen. What's even worse is that most of the time it goes unnoticed and then at the end of they day you come to the realization:
"Wow, I had so much time today, and it all went to waste with nothing productive."
Yeah, I hate that. In fact, I am getting that vibe right now. I should try to recover, though, I doubt that's going to happen.
Nice post, I enjoyed it. It correlated with me. Nice seeing you on Monday, man!
Glad to see you back. Productivity is a tricky thing, and like beauty it is in the eye of the beholder.
When you lay your head down at night, ultimately it is your call on the productivitiveness.
I've been getting better at it, hopefully you can do the same.
you were signed up when you were born. write something delicious. cool but not pretentious. percy-ish but not too-hot-to-handle.
